USA: US barley stocks down 15%

U.S. barley stocks in all positions on December 1, 2005 totalled 208 million bushels, down 15% from December 1, 2004, according to the USDA's latest stocks in all positions estimates.

On-farm stocks are estimated at 104 million bushels, 21% below a year ago. Off-farm stocks, at 104 million bushels, are 9% below December 2004.

The September to November 2005 indicated disappearance is 46.9 million bushels, 6% above the same period a year earlier.
